Fethullah Gulen and the Gulen Movement

 Hello! My name is Tania Gerich. I am a manager, teacher, and co-director of OneCircle Center for spirituality and the arts, together with my husband. One of the things that I have dedicate my life to is intercultural and interreligious understanding. We believe very strongly that all religions come from the same source, and also that you can’t hate anybody if you know them and if you meet them, and if you attempt to understand them. So that’s I was so happy to be invited to this wonderful trip sponsored by the Rumi Forum, because now I see I was not as aware as before I left. Now in this trip I see that their values and their ideals, and what they want very passionately is that the people of Turkey are better known by other peoples and vice versa. So I think by being an American in coming here, I can go back and really tell people what a wonderful country Turkey is, how great and hospitable the people are, and what beautiful hearts and souls are here, and how connected we are to Turkey because of all the spiritual traditions that many of them began here; it means a lot of old civilizations and a lot of history began, so we are completely connected to the beautiful land and to the wonderful people of Turkey; so I wanna thank Ali and the Gulen community, to this wonderful place that I will never forget. I will never forget this trip.
