I am a minister of a church in Northern Virginia just outside Washington DC. It is a unity Church, and in Unity, we have people from different backgrounds. We have Christian background, we have Jewish background, we have a few Hindu here and there, and we have some Muslims that visit occasionally. So for me this has been an extraordinary experience on many levels: Travelling with this group, meeting the people, doing the thing shoulder to shoulder that we have done this week has been wonderful.

For me, probably the highlight is being able to go behind the scenes, and seeing the Turkish life that I wouldn’t see if I were just here on vacation, or have been a tourist. Things like visiting the schools and meeting people face-to-face and one-on-one and having conversations that are meaningful beyond just the introductions. So, um, it is a small world, but it affirms for me that we have a big heart, and that heart is infinite. I believe in the peace in the world, I believe we can have it in our lifetime, and it is through movements like this, that we come to know our true potential and true possibilities. So, um, I am deeply grateful for being here!
