"... and when I spoke with my father about the award, one of the things that we talked about was some of the poetry of Rumi, and one line in particular, 'Move outside the tangle of fear thinking,' which he [Archbishop Tutu] believes has been what has led him in his life to recognize the common humanity of all. When we can move beyond fear thinking and see in one another brothers and sisters who share fears, hopes and dreams, our move for a peaceful and just world will come about." Nontombi Naomi Tutu,Archibishop Tutu’s daughter

The event that hosted many distinguished guest was held at the National Press Conference Ball Room. Fethullah Gulen’s inspirational messages along with Rumi’s and Nontombi Naomi Tutu’s messages were the pacemakers of the event. Considering the current political interactions in the Congress, many attendees including Diane Rehm could not help themselves agreeing on the quality of the event, climate and the purpose via identifying it as the “Well needed antidote for Washington , D.C.” What a great way to summarize our current human to human interaction problems at Washington, D.C. and what a great solution observation through Rumi Forum’s phenomenal event.
