Fethullah Gulen Tolerance, Dialogue and Peace
Mahir Zeynalov, journalist at Today’s Zaman and columnist at Al Arabian, wrote an article in the Huffington Post about political pressure from the AKP’s single party government towards Hizmet movement, also known as the Gulen movement. The author states that democratic future of the Turkey is in jeopardy due to undemocratic practices of AKP government. Independent media outlets, businesses and nonprofit organizations, especially those that sympathetic to Gulen movement, are being confiscated or pressured by the government. Author argues if such pressure and ongoing illegal confiscations would force the Gulen movement to leave the country.
