Social Solidarity Awaits For State’s Approval

Due to political polarization in Turkey even actions of social solidarity and benevolence organized by civil society organizations are hindered by pro-government state authorities. Kimse Yok Mu charity organization had started a social campaign aimed to raise 7,275,000 Turkish Lira, which is approximately 2,5 million dollars. The campaign aims to deliver financial assistance to the families of the martyrs and victims of terrorist attacks in Turkey. However, Kimse Yok Mu’s application is being hold in The Istanbul Governor’s Office to obtain the necessary permissions from the state authorities since September 17, 2015.
