Özel Şifa Hospital, in the northeastern province of Erzurum, has been shut down as of Friday.
Hospitals health license suspended following a court decision cancelling its agreement with the Social Security Administration (SGK). 400 people lost their jobs as a result of the politically motivated move to close the facility.
Şifa Hospital is part of Şifa University and Şifa Healthcare Group which was founded by the Doctors Foundation of Turkey. The hospital had been open in Erzurum since 2005. Opened and operated by followers of the Hizmet movement.
