The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality declared the area of construction of private school a green area

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality recently designated a zone of construction of a private school for a green space. The representatives of the private school informed about this Today’s Zaman. The school to be built was a branch of Fatih College, which is a private educational institution affiliated with Hizmet Movement inspired by ideas and teachings of Fethullah Gulen. School representatives told that city municipality is going to build an underground lot and public earthquake evacuation area on the land. This plot of land was initially designated for the construction of school; but on June 6th it was re-designated to a green area. The representatives of the school told that this move might be an attempt to curb down Hizmet movement has been perceived as an enemy by the ruling AKP party since December 2013. Read more
