After three students filed complaints against two of the exam questions of the TEOG exam, the Turkish Ministry of Education postponed the announcement of the results to Jan. 9.
Approximately 1.2 million eighth graders took the TEOG exam. The test covered questions on mathematics, language, science and technology, history, foreign language, and ethics. Students were asked a total of 120 questions. 52 students, who attended Anafen Dershaneleri in southeastern Turkey, answered all 120 questions.
Anafen Dershaneleri is a prep school affiliated with the Hizmet movement. A movement inspired by the Turkish Islamic scholar Fethullah Gulen, have since been accused by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of being behind the Dec. 17 operations targeting the current mass governmental corruption of the AKP.
