Gülen convinces people Islam integral part of global order

JWF, whose honorary president is the Honorable Fethullah Gulen, has been organizing a series of
meetings where the intellectuals of Turkey and other countries get together to discuss current issues,
make recommendations for solutions and determine the root causes of many socioeconomic problems
of our time. The first meeting took place in Abant, Bolu in Turkey therefore they are called the Abant
Platform meetings. Every year the platform takes on a major issue, this year’s was “Different Perspectives
on Turkey.” One of the participants, Professor Hans Köchler of Austria’s International Progress
Organization gave an interview to Today’s Zaman in which he analyzed the West’s, sometimes prejudiced,
attitude towards Turkey and Islam. Professor Köchler described Islam as the new phenomenon that was
being built as the enemy of the West and Fethullah Gulen as the one who help the world realize that Islam
is an integral part of today’s world.
