Fethullah Gulen Tolerance, Dialogue and Peace
Fethullah Gulen has always been a strong advocate of peace and dialogue. He encourages everyone to make peace as the default state of mind when dealing with conflicts. Gulen cites an Islamic principal that finds its reference in the Qur’an, as “…Peace is more beneficial.” In line with his life-long stance, Fethullah Gulen landed his support for the Turkish government’s peace efforts through communication with the terrorist organization PKK.
Yet another show of support for ongoing peace talks between the Turkish government and the terrorist Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) has been voiced, this time from Islamic scholar Fethullah Gülen, who said every necessary step needs to be taken, even if some of these steps might seem unnerving at first, to maintain peace in the country.
