Gulen applies to top court over slander

fethullah-gulenFethullah Gulen filed individual application to Constitutional Court over slanderous report published on web site www.medyagundem.com on March 25, which claimed that Gulen as well as some members of Hizmet movement, inspired by Gulen’s ideas, were threatening senior officials with videos in which those officials were recorded having extramarital affairs. The report also calls Hizmet movement members “Hashishin”, a politically-motivated criminal group. The application was filed by Gulen’s lawyer Nurullah Albayrak, who believes that this slanderous report not only violates human rights but also incites enmity and polarizes people.
