Kılıçdaroğlu Criticizes Government’s Attempt to Blame Fethullah Gulen for Downed Russian Jet

During parliamentary group meeting main leader of CHP (Republican People’s Party) Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu criticized the attempts of Turkish government to link downed Russian jet Su-24 with Fethullah Gulen and Hizmet movement. He said, “What has happened? They [government figures] were saying they gave the order to down the Russian jet. They were in a race to claim responsibility. Now they are saying things like, ‘The military commander downed it; Fethullah Gülen downed it.’ Come on!” Earlier, pro-government columnist Cem Kucuk blamed Gulen by saying, “Some of the F-16 pilots are pro-Fethullah figures; this is included in official records. Airspace violations took place 50-60 times. If you ask me, this is the work of pro-Fethullah figures.”
