Jeanne Clarkson, Nurse Practitioner in Vienna, VA, talking about her trip to Turkey

I am Jeanne Clarkson. I am from Vienna, Virginia. This whole trip to me is somewhat of a surprise. I came to it by way of the baptism of my first grandchild. The priest who baptized her from Georgetown Father John Huoy was the individual who told me about RumiForum and who said that there is this upcoming trip and asked me to contact Ali which I did. So this is one of the, if not the happiest surprise of my life. That being said everything that has happened back in this past week has been extremely unique and extremely special.

The buildings, learning more about RumiForum and tremendous work just by being real, humble and caring about your fellow man and responsible for the moral upbringing of your children. All of this is what we all strive for, and to know that there is a community that is supporting others in this is very special. But in spite of all of the scenery all of the buildings, all of this, this has all been a very relational week. This is all about relationship, and how a group of strangers in a week’s time, come to know each other, to share with each other, to grow with each other, and most specially today, to pray with each other in a Roman Catholic Church, you know Jewish, Christian, Muslim, was indeed very special. You know sometimes words can’t express it but, yeah, on the top of everything else you kept us “doydum” (full) or something like that for which we will… (laugs)…   But once again I thank to the RumiForum and to all of you, you are all very special and, um, one thing I didn’t mention which again, I mentioned to Fatina and to Rana: having the opportunity to speak with young, vibrant, strong women who are covered and done so by choice has been just so special to me, and I thank you both very specially. So once again thank you very much!
